Laying the Foundations
In Year 4, I began developing my digital portfolio as part of the apprenticeship programme, exploring how to present my creative work in a professional, accessible way. This marked the start of linking my academic studies to real-world practice.
At first, I encountered compatibility issues using Adobe Portfolio, which prompted me to research alternative platforms. I discovered Universe, a user-friendly tool that allowed me to start showcasing my design work effectively. This early experimentation helped me gain confidence in presenting screen designs, animation concepts, and written reflections from live projects.
This stage was about finding my footing, learning to manage my own learning materials, reflect on progress, and begin building a portfolio that could evolve over time.
The work I started here formed the basis for further development in Year 5, as I refined how I captured, organised, and communicated my professional growth.
